Ribbit Ribbit

Here's my little frog waking up from her nap!
I'm so thankful that she wakes up so happy!

You're My Best Friend

Charlie is the most tolerant of all the three dogs toward Reagan. Koby and Petey usually just run away from her, but Charlie (partially because he's so lazy) just lays there and lets Reagan do what ever she wants to him. She pulls his ears, grabs handfuls of his fur, and crawls all over him. I've decided that he loves her and that they are destined to be best friends!

A Texas-size play pin

Well, we knew it would happen sometime and it did this morning. All of the main living areas in our house are tiled. We have an area rug in the living room, but it only covers an "area". Today Reagan was playing and standing up when she lost her balance and fell backwards hitting her head on the tile. I couldn't get there fast enough to catch her. She's seems to be ok, and I gave her some baby Tylenol in case she got a headache. But now I had to try to find a way to confine her without really confining her. She hates being in the pack-n-play because she can't use her new crawling and climbing skills. This was our solution!
I closed all the doors in the hall and blocked off the entrance to the hall with a gate and voowalla... a huge play pin that she can crawl in and play safely. Thank God for carpeting!!

Kinda Camping

I call this "kinda camping" because we stayed in a cabin and not a tent. Really, we wouldn't be able to truly camp. Reagan is in full crawl mode and that wouldn't work without a floor to crawl on. We did spend a lot of time outside and by the campfire. I think we will try to tent-camp this summer, after Reagan is walking well.
This is the cabin we stayed in with David's brother's family. Four adults, three children, and three dogs! It was really nice, and on the other side of the cabin was another cabin that David's parents and grandparents stayed in. We had the fire pit in the middle of the two cabins, and it was really nice to have all the grandparents to help corral the kiddos!
By the river in Beaver's Bend was a mini train station and snack bar. The whole gang rode the train. The older kids had the most fun, and it was cool to do something all together. (with a group that big, it's hard to do something "all together")
The guys spent the majority of the days at the river fly-fishing. On Saturday afternoon, the lady's went down to see what all the fuss was about. I have to say that I wasn't that impressed. It was extremely beautiful, but when I fish, I want to be able to eat what I catch! The guys seemed to enjoy themselves, and that really all that matters.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Well, taking Reagan's picture in the big chair has officially become a two-man job. She is so quick and it is so hard to get a good picture when she is moving all over the place. I can hardly remember the days when she didn't move at all. Seems so long ago! Hope you all have a wonderful St. Patrick's Day and drink some green beer for us!!

Are you...a big girl?

I know this is no big deal for most people, but it is for us. Reagan pulled herself up to the coffee table for the first time on Saturday. I'm not sure why we are so amazed. She's pulled herself up to other stuff plenty of times, but each time she does it to a new piece of furniture, we get so excited!! Kinda lame, but that's us. :)

Note: No babies were harmed by falling balls during the making of this video. LOL

Jail Bird

This is one of the funniest things we've been seeing lately. Reagan's crib is positioned to where one end of it faces the door. This way we can leave the door cracked and still be able to see her in her crib and check on what she's doing.
Over the past week and a half or so, Reagan has figured out (our kid is a genius) where to go to get our attention. Sometimes she'll cry, sometimes she'll just stand there and wait for either David or I to go check on her. When we do she looks up at us like, "Please get me out of this jail!".
Now that she can stand up on her own, that's all she wants to do. She will pull herself up on her toy chest (a short one) and reach in to pull out the toy of her choosing. Our little girl is very independent. She knows what she wants and what she does not want.
Reagan is very much on the move. She crawls so fast that before you know it, she's getting food from the dog bowl! I was really hoping that this mobility thing wouldn't happen so soon, but it has and now we have to watcher her like a hawk.
I'm still hopeful that her walking won't be too early, but even her doctor said he didn't think it would be too long before she starts.
Our little girl is getting so big and doing so much stuff. I get a little emotional when I think of how she will never be this little again. Tomorrow she will be bigger and doing even more. I want her to be healthy and happy, but I also want her to stay my baby girl.

Travis...my hero

They say, ask and you shall receive. This is true. As you can see, we now have an age ticker on our blog. Thanks to our good friend T, who emailed step-by-step, idiot proof instructions to us. Thanks again!

New at this thing...

OK, so I'm blogging. Kinda like facebook, but with cooler stuff. I have no idea how to work the gadgets and it really makes me mad. I want so bad to have one of those Lilypie counter thingies but no matter what I do, it won't let me add one. If anyone knows any tips to help me out, that would be great. Not a whole lot going on today. David and I did take Reagan to get her shots. She cried so hard. When they were giving her the shots it took forever for her to take in that first breath and let a cry. :( The things we do to keep our sweet ones healthy. Here's a picture of the family at the zoo. I think most everyone has already seen it, but I wanted to do one to make sure I was doing it right and to see how a pic would look on the blog. I might try a video next...
