Park and Pigtails

There's a new elementary school that was built last year that's within walking distance of our house and on Sunday, we walked up there and took advantage of their playground. It's the perfect size for her. It even says that it's for kids ages 2-5.
Swinging on the handicap swing with Daddy.
Weeeeeee!
It was a really windy day.
Today....we did pigtails!! For the first time. Man, it really makes her look like a kid or a little girl and not a baby.

Valentine's Day

Feb. 13, 2010 Here's Reagan in her pre-Valentine's Day outfit. So cute! Thank you Grandma Betty! (p.s. those are heart polka dots on her pants!)
Feb. 14, 2010 We went to Austin for the Austin Half Marathon. David ran in it last year with his uncle and cousin and then again this year with his uncle. Here he is at mile eleven...I think. We waited here for him and then went to the finish to meet him when he was done.
Reagan waiting for Daddy to finish.
Yea! Finishers!
Here they are with the crazy mass of people that were there.
David showing Reagan his medal.
In our hotel room.
My sweet Valentine!
On the way home from Austin we made a quick stop at my dad's (Poppy) house. Reagan was asleep in the car when we got there, so she still looks pretty dazed and half asleep in this picture.

Winter Wonderland!!

Well, it was one for the record books! A ONE DAY snow fall of 12.5 inches in North Texas!!! This was definitely unexpected and when we woke up on Thursday morning it had already been snowing since 3am. Here's Reagan right after I got her up. Not really knowing at this point how much snow they were forecasting, I wanted to make sure she saw it actually snowing. So I got her out of bed and took her right outside! So much fun and soooo cold!
Koby watching it snow.
Again, this is in the morning. I was still thinking that at any minute it would stop snowing, so I wasted no time in getting Reagan all bundled up so we could go play in the snow!
It's about 9:30am here and we had about 3-4 inches....and we thought that was a lot!
Reagan's first snow ball.
Still in the morning. I wish I would have gotten pictures of the house the next day to show how much we actually got, but to give you an idea, you could not even see nor tell that we had bushes in front of our house the next day!
During Reagan's first nap I went outside and made a snow man for her.
Best snow-friends!
She even gave him a kiss!
Her first snow angel! (yes, I did have to help her. I moved her arms and legs for her. She really wasn't that into laying in the snow!)
The result.
Walking down the middle of the street that evening. We went to throw snowballs at our friends!
Koby was the only one of our dogs that really liked the snow.
So, after the 12+ inches of snow that fell all day on Thursday, David stayed home from work and opted to take me and Reagan sledding! Here is David going up the side of a highway overpass with Reagan, Yaya, Justin and Mikah.
That's right, this 33 week prego momma didn't miss the opportunity to go sledding either! It was really fun!
Here's video of Reagan and David sledding! She had so much fun!

Oatmeal

This is not going to be an exciting post for most of you. I think it's interesting and exciting, but that's because I'm the mom, I guess. We have been teaching Reagan to feed herself for a while now, but usually we put the food on her utensil and the then give it to her to feed herself. This time, since oatmeal is thick and not so messy, I let her do it all by herself! She did really well and now she wants to do everything that way. Again, not a huge deal, but it's fun for us. Oh, and she most definitely prefers to use her left hand when feeding herself. She tries it with the right every now and then, but it's harder and she gets frustrated. So, I'm thinking we might have a lefty! But who knows, that could change anytime.
